Johanne Rubinstein

Johanne Rubinstein graduated from Denmark’s Design School, Institute for Uniqueness, in 1997. After many years abroad, she now works from her own design studio in Frederiksberg, where she makes clothes based on the conviction that clothes should not be mass-produced and the customer should know how and from where the clothing is produced and under what conditions. The clothes are produced in Hungary, where a lot of skilled women sew, under good working conditions and for decent wages. She constructs her styles so that there is as little fabric waste as possible (based on the zero waste concept), and the leftovers are used, among other things. for graphic cuts in clothing. Johanne works based on the principle of timeless and durable clothing, which is current both now and in the future. The clothing is graphic, sculptural and timeless with crooked lines and it has found a solid position in the fashion picture. She constantly focuses on high quality and on creating new forms and techniques.
